India’s first Test win after 50 years at The Oval since 1971
India beat England by 151 runs in a thrilling final-day finish to go 2-1 up in the series.
They had beaten England by 151 runs in the second Test at Lord’s last month. Between overs 61.3 and 67.2, pacer Jasprit Bumrah (2/27) and spinner Ravindra Jadeja (2/50) turned the game in India’s favour, sharing four wickets to spear the heart of England batting. Jadeja removed opener Haseeb Hameed (63 off 193) through one that turned from the rough and clipped his off-stump.
The Twitterati legends reacted:
That is a proper Test win .. !!

Take a bow @Jaspritbumrah93 ! That spell of 6.3.6.2 was outstanding and the spell of the summer so far. A class above any other fast bowler in this test match on a flat wicket ! Outstanding @SkyCricket 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As “spectators” of Test Cricket, just stop worrying about team selection and other nonsense and start appreciating the competition, passion, skill and patriotism unfolding in front of your eyes. You’re missing a good game!
