#DUNKI is a HILARIOUS-EMOTIONAL ROLLER-COASTER, WELL CRAFTED BY RAJU HIRANI
Shahrukh Khan’s latest release this year, “Dunki,” Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, hit the screens. The film is a mix of enjoyment, humor, and emotional depth. It strikes moments that induce laughter and tears, showcasing Hirani’s trademark directorial finesse. While it might not surpass the brilliance of his earlier works, it stands miles ahead of today’s lackluster Bollywood offerings. “Dunki” navigates the poignant theme of flight with a compelling narrative.
The first half is a whirlwind of brilliance, blending comedy, drama, romance, and emotions in the first 40 minutes, captivating the audience. The movie takes a surprising turn before the interval, stirring deep emotions. The latter half is a tearjerker, leaving a lasting impact with its touching scenes. Vicky Kaushal delivers an exceptional performance, and the Dharmendra-SRK storyline strikes a chord emotionally.
Though the documentary-like ending could have been refined, the film remains exceptional. Boman Irani leaves an impression in his brief appearance, and Taapsee shines after a hiatus. The entire cast delivers stellar performances, portraying characters with depth and authenticity that resonate deeply. Their raw emotions connect with the audience, making the storyline compelling.
“Dunki” strikes a balance between humor and heartfelt moments, immersing viewers in an emotionally resonant narrative. Hirani’s directorial prowess shines through, backed by a top-notch screenplay. The cinematography, especially the close shots, is remarkable.
